Halloween is a mere week away gentle readers! Tell us, what are you planning to be for Halloween? This staffer is thinking about going as Phil Collins as Davy Crockett, complete with “Come and take a look at me now” flag,  but I might not perfect my British accent by then. If you’re more a fan of giving out candy, there’s still plenty of time to perfect your pecan pralines skills. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go figure out the piano parts to my theme song.

In honor of National Pancake Day, here is the initial sketch for our December 2011 cover. It only took 8 hours, a dozen pancakes, a few packages of bacon, 4 members of the Art Department, one food stylist, a very nice restaurant staff that let us take over their place for an afternoon and Randal Ford to make this sketch a drool-worthy reality.
